The Texaco logo has all but disappeared on operating service stations since Chevron acquired them in 2000 and dropped the Texaco branding in 2005. This version, used from 1968 to 1974, appears on an old barn just outside Wallowa, Oregon.

The barn is located less than 2 miles from the confluence of the Lostine and Wallowa Rivers which was the site of the summer camps of the Joseph band of Nez Perce. The Native American percentage of the population is less than 1% here today but the descendants of their Appaloosa ponies can still be seen on many ranches.
