Palouse Falls
I used a minimal amount of HDR processing. Sorry about the focal point being dead center but shooting down the narrow canyon offered little other choice
The falls lie on the Palouse River, about 4 mi (6.4 km) upstream of its confluence with the Snake River in southeast Washington state. The total falls are 200 ft (61 m) in height while the portion shown here is 180 ft.
The canyon is 377 ft deep here, and exposes a large cross-section of the Columbia River basin scablands. The location is quite isolated with no habitation or vegetation within a 5 mile radius.
